Everything was outlined with a Sharpie pen, characters were colored with watercolors and the upper environment was colored digitally. The idea behind the mix is one of contrasts: texture/smoothness, vivid reds/quiet blues, busy environment/open environment.
Some characters have names, like the “Fashionista Goats” and the “Giant Monster Who Totally Didn’t Mean To Step On Your Car And Is Very Sorry”.
I haven’t painted any Republicans in a while, but something tells me I might be inspired this year. Here’s an old favorite, for my newer followers.
